Polk County is offering COVID-19 drive-thru testing on a first-come, first-served basis with no appointment needed, free while supplies last on:
- THURSDAY, JULY 16 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at 40 Ward Street in Columbus
- TUESDAY, JULY 21 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Tryon Elementary School at 100 School Place in Tryon
- THURSDAY, JULY 30 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Tryon International Equestrian Center at 4066 Pea Ridge Road in Mill Spring
Test results are expected to be available 4 to 5 business days after specimen collection. Polk County Division of Public Health will follow up with all who are tested to provide results, whether positive or negative, and additional education and instructions, as needed.
Polk County also offers testing at the health department on days that drive-thru testing is not offered. Appointments are needed for testing at the health department. Call (828) 722-5086 to make a test appointment or if you have questions.
