Polk County Libraries will host an Author Talk & Book Signing for author Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23.

The book “Even As We Breathe” is the first novel published by an enrolled citizen of the Eastern Band of Cherokee.

The event will be held at Sunnydale, located at 334 S. Trade Street in Tryon.

The first 50 attendees who register and arrive at the event will receive a free copy of the book!

This is made possible by a grant from the Lillian E. and Earl A. Bettinger Charitable Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation.

Can’t make it on Aug. 23? Not to worry, there will be another discussion of “Even As We Breathe” at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 atthe Columbus Library.
