Statewide and local burn bans are ongoing in Polk County as wildfires continue to cause damage.

Disregarding this ban, which is in place because of current conditions, will result in a $250 fine and a citation.

Members of the Fire Marshall office have written four citations thus far and will continue to fine residents who do not comply with burn bans.
