Polk County Libraries continues its movie matinee series at the Columbus Library, but this week it happens on a different day.

Because the library will be closed on Friday, April 7, this week’s featured family film will be played at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 6.

The choice for this week is “Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.” This PG-rated 2021 film is the follow-up to 2018’s excellent “Peter Rabbit.”

The quick synopsis of this adventure/comedy film, via IMDB.com: Thomas and Bea are now married and living with Peter and his rabbit family. Bored of life in the garden, Peter goes to the big city, where he meets shady characters and ends up creating chaos for the whole family.

Fresh popcorn will be provided.
