The Polk County Board of Commissioners has called a special meeting to approve a No Build Alternative Letter that will address the pending Highway 9 widening project that the N.C. Department of Transportation has planned.
The Commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday, October 10, at the R. Jay Foster Hall of Justice in the Womack Building in Columbus.
The lone agenda item for this meeting will be the approval of this No Build Alternative Letter. The letter, which will be sent to the Foothills Regional Commission’s Rural Planning Organization, is still being worked on, but will be available at the meeting.
The meeting is open for public attendance, or you can call in to listen. The call-in number is 1-800-753-1965 and the access code is 8946129. The meeting will also be live-streamed on the Polk County Local Government Website or by following this link.
