County recently hosted NCACC meeting

Polk County hosted the 2025 North Carolina Association of Country Commissioners (“NCACC”) District 15 Meeting in April at the Tryon Equestrian Center.

The Polk County Board of Commissioners, along with leaders from Cleveland, McDowell, and Rutherford counties, came together for great discussions with NCACC Executive Director Kevin Leonard and NCACC President Tare “T” Davis, who serves as a Warren County Commissioner.

Polk County’s Emergency Management Director and Fire Marshal, Bobby Arledge, was also honored at the meeting for his nomination as Polk County’s Heroic Hero. Alongside this recognition, Arledge received a medallion from Davis and will be featured in a book highlighting all 100 Heroic Hands nominees.
