Debris removal begins across county; manageable piles requested

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contractors have begun removing Hurricane Helene debris across the county, and additional trucks will arrive later this week to support removal efforts.

The vegetative debris should be in manageable piles and logs should not exceed 15 feet.

You may see trucks making multiple passes on your road. Do not be concerned if they do not pick up your debris on the first pass, as that truck may be assigned to pick up a specific type of debris.

There are no specific schedules for when they will be on each road.

It is strongly encouraged for you to have your storm debris sorted and correctly placed NOW, to be ready when they do come on your street.
