A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is still open to assist North Carolina residents affected by Hurricane Helene.

Please remember that FEMA recently extended the deadline to apply for individual assistance. Read more here.

Here is some info about the local DRC:

Location: Polk County Recreation Complex (Parking Lot)
Address: 235 Wolverine Trail, Mill Spring, NC 28756

Hours of Operation:

• Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Closed on Sundays

Holiday Closure: The DRC will be closed from November 28 to December 1 for Thanksgiving weekend and will reopen on Monday, December 2, at 8 a.m.
