Vegetation management work will begin this week in the Saluda area, a press release from Duke Energy stated last week.

Duke Energy announced that it will be trimming trees at its Saluda 1202 feeder that originates from its Saluda Retail Substation, which is located at 826 Substation Road.

This circuit runs along Substation Rd. to Esseola St., to Howard Gap Rd., and out to Ocean View Drive to the east. Other notable roads include Holbert Cove Rd. and Green River Cove Rd. 

Work on this feeder is being performed by Asplundh Tree. Donald Chapman is the Asplundh supervisor. Chapman is very familiar with the area and will be communicating with customers as the work progresses.  Any homeowner/landowner questions can be referred to him at (828) 319-0230.

Work is expected to be completed around the end of August.
