Primary early voting will soon begin in Polk County.

Residents have plenty of chances to vote in these primary elections, as early voting will be open six days a week for two-and-a-half weeks.

Early voting begins on Thursday, April 28 and will run through Saturday, May 14, and will be held in the Womack Administrative Building (40 Courthouse Street) in Columbus.

You can vote Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 828-894-8181 for more information.

Voters do not need to bring anything, as they will be asked to state their name and address. If voters are registering and voting (an option only available at early voting), they will need to bring a Photo ID or an ID that contains their name and current address.
