The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a No Drone Zone for a five-mile radius around the wildfires in Polk County

This means that drones are prohibited from being flown in this area.

According to its website, a No Drone Zone is “to help people identify areas where they cannot operate a drone or unmanned aircraft system (UAS).”

This radius has been issued to provide a safe environment for fire fighting aircraft operations.

For now, this No Drone Zone lasts until April 4.
