Polk County Senior Services has planned a fish fry that will serve as a fundraiser for the Meals on Wheels program.

The fish fry will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 7, at The Meeting Place, which is located at 75 Carmel Lane in Columbus. The event was originally scheduled for September 30 but was postponed due to possible inclement weather.

Dinner will include fried fish, baked potato, cole slaw, hushpuppies, dessert and tea or lemonade.

Along with food, there will be door prizes and music from James Metcalf and Friends.
