A newly revised brochure and map that highlights what the area has to offer is available to residents and visitors.
The updated brochure and map was recently presented to the Polk County Board of Commissioners by Travel and Tourism Director Melinda Massey.
Some improved features are a larger driving map showing all the main routes plus more than 100 lodging options and more than 50 things-to-do in the area.
If you would like to receive a free copy of the brochure, they are available at the Travel and Tourism office (20 East Mills St.) or by clicking this link. Maps, brochures, and the restaurant guide can also be found in display racks around the area.
The Travel and Tourism website (firstpeaknc.com) has a lot of useful information for residents and visitors. The site has a local restaurant guide and a weekly events newsletter (which you can sign up to receive as a weekly email). Other features, such as lodging and things-to-do, can be helpful to residents welcoming visitors to their homes and the area.
