Friends of Ag Breakfast set for Jan. 22

Polk County Farms is proud to host a Friends of Agriculture breakfast this month on Wednesday, January 22.

Breakfast begins at 7 a.m. and ends at 8 a.m. The event takes place at the Green Creek Community Center (25 Shields Drive, Tryon).

his month’s speaker is Nolynn Powell, Director for Clean Water Lab in Green Creek, a water and food safety testing program for our local community.

This complimentary breakfast is served and is open to the public. It is a place to meet your neighbors and connect with community support agencies that are here to help us all maintain our beautiful, rural agricultural community.

In order to be more sustainable, attendees are encouraged to bring their own coffee mug, plate and utensils.

This 15 year ongoing historic event features speakers from local farms and other agricultural experts in their field.

The Friends of Agriculture breakfast is held the third Wednesday of every month September through May. Our FOA Sponsor this month is Piney Knob Cabins in Rutherford County.
