Friends of Ag Breakfast set for Oct. 15

This month’s Friends of Agriculture breakfast is scheduled for October 15. The time is 7 to 8 a.m.

The event will be held at the Green Creek Community Center, 25 Shields Drive, Tryon (located in the Green Creek Community.)

A complimentary breakfast is served and is open to the public. It is a place to meet your neighbors and connect with community support agencies that are here to help us all maintain our beautiful, rural agricultural community.

In order to be more sustainable, attendees are encouraged to bring their own coffee mug, plate and utensils.

This ongoing historic event has been happening for 15 years and features speakers from local farms and other agricultural experts in their field.

This month’s guest speaker is Bob Holbert, Western Carolina North Carolina Agriculture Mediation Program (NCAMP). The program is available to assist farmers in resolving issues that may impact their business.

This season’s FOA breakfast sponsors are AgSouth Farm Credit, Conserving Carolina, Farm Bureau
Insurance of North Carolina and Piney Knob Creek Farm and Cabins of Rutherford County.

Friends of Agriculture breakfast is held the 3rd Wednesday of every month September through May.
