Another round of lane closures will occur on I-26 next week due to construction and if you’re headed toward Asheville or coming from Asheville, these may impact you.

Here’s the details you need to know about the coming week:

On Sunday (March 13), Monday (March 14), and Wednesday (March 16) the Westbound lanes from Exit 44 to Exit 40 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. On Tuesday (March 15) and Thursday (March 17), the Eastbound lanes will be closed from the same times from Exit 40 to Exit 44.

The detour route for the Westbound closures will be: I-26 at Exit 44 follow US 25 North (Hendersonville Rd.) to NC 280 West (Airport Rd.) to I-26.

The detour route for the Eastbound closures will be: I-26 at Exit 40 follow NC 280 (Airport Rd.) East to US 25 (Hendersonville Rd.) South to rejoin I-26 at Exit 44.

The start time of the lane closures will depend on traffic volumes and times could be adjusted accordingly.

Also, please note that there will be lane closures in the Eastbound lanes near mile marker 37 Sunday through Tuesday.
