Lane closures on I-26 have been announced for this week.

Westbound traffic on I-26, from Exit 44 to 49, will be closed for construction on some nights this week.

The traffic closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday (July 5), Wednesday (July 6) and Thursday (July 8).  The start time will depend on traffic volumes and will be adjusted accordingly and plans may be altered depending weather conditions.

The detour during this time will be – I-26 at Exit 49B follows U.S. 64 West to Asheville Highway (U.S. 25 north) to Exit 44.
