The North Carolina Department of Transportation has announced several lane closures on I-26 for this week.

The Westbound lane from Exit 40 to 37 will be closed each evening, beginning at 8 p.m., from Monday, December 12 to Thursday, December 15.

A detour will be in effect while the lanes are closed. The detour will be from Exit 40 (Airport Road) to US 25 (Hendersonville Road) to NC 146 (Long Shoals Road) West to I-26 at Exit 37.

The duration of these closures is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., however, the start time will depend on traffic volumes and will be adjusted accordingly. Also, these plans may be altered depending on the weather.
