The Mill Spring Fire Department at 145 Old Rutherfordton Rd. in Mill Spring will host Polk County Animal Control’s Rabies Clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 10.
Dr. Kelly Sulik, DVM will be the veterinarian for the clinic. Rabies vaccines for animals – including equines – will be $10 each. DA2PP (distemper, adenovirus-2, parainfluenza and parvovirus) and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia) vaccines will be $20 each. Microchips will be $10 each.
Spay/neuter vouchers are available for those who receive government assistance or proof of low income.
People must present proof of a current rabies vaccine for a three-year vaccine. Dogs must be on a harness or slip leash. No neck collars with snap leads are allowed.
