Piney Gate area added to mandatory evacuation list on Friday, March 21, 12:30 p.m.

Polk County Emergency Management has announced a mandatory evacuation for ALL persons in the Piney Gate area.

Visibility in the area will be reduced and roads/evacuation routes can become blocked.

If you do not leave now, you could be trapped, injured or killed, Polk County Emergency Management stated.

Shelter is available at 75 Carmel Lane, Columbus.
