• Public Hearing scheduled for June 16 to focus on reviewing and discussing text amendments to the zoning ordinance.

• NCDOT Bridge Replacement project on NC HWY-9 over the Green River

• Polk County School District requested approval from the Public School Building Repair and Renovations Fund.

• Polk County Board of Commissioners submitted a Resolution Opposing House Bill 765.

• Appointment of residents to County volunteer boards.

• May 18-24 is Emergency Medical Services Appreciation Week.
