At its regular meeting Monday evening, the Polk County Board of Commissioners swore three Commissioners into office.

Andre Overholt, Myron Yoder and David Moore were sworn in as Commissioners, joining Paul Beiler and Chairman Tommy Melton who were elected Vice-Chairman and Chairman for the new Board, respectively.

The Board’s general responsibilities for local government include adopting the county budget, setting the property tax rate and passing ordinances, resolutions and orders to establish county policies.
