All Polk County Local Government offices except emergency services will be closed Monday, Jan. 18 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Emergency services will continue to operate as usual and the landfill will be open.

The Mobile Recycling Unit, which typically is at Harmon Field in Tryon on Mondays, will not be there Monday, Jan. 18.
