Polk County 911 received a hoax call Monday regarding an active shooter at Polk County High School.

This call was a hoax and has been reported to 911 centers all across the state. Polk County Local Government has confirmed at least three other counties have received this call.

County officials remind all citizens who are using the 911 system to use it for emergencies only.

To reiterate, there was no active shooter at any Polk County Schools location on Monday.
