Several local farms will participate in an upcoming farm tour, which is an annual event put on ASAP, or Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project.

The farm tour is set for Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22, from noon to 5 p.m. on both days.

The tour is, according to ASAP’s website, “a chance to experience how food is grown and raised through guided tours, demonstrations, and tastings. The Farm Tour showcases the diversity of working farms in Western North Carolina, including vegetables, livestock, vineyards, orchards, flowers, fiber, and more! This is a family-friendly event and a great outing for visitors of all ages, abilities, and interests.”

Areas within Western North Carolina are broken into clusters for this event. The Polk Cluster will include tours of Caitlyn Farms, Overmountain Vineyards, TK Family Farm, Looking Glass Creamery, and San Felipe Farm.
