Cooler weather won’t stop Polk County residents’ ability to snag local farm-raised items.
Polk County Farms recently announced they will hold their Polk Winter Market in two locations this year beginning in November.
The Columbus market will happen on the first and third Saturdays at Iron Key Brewing (135 Locust Street in Columbus) while the Saluda market will happen on the second and fourth Saturdays at Saluda Center (on Greenville Street in Saluda).
Each market will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will occur from November to April 2022.
A blend of products will be available at the events, including:
· Fresh produce from several vendors
· Meats — beef, pork and chicken
· Spice blends
· Honey
· Hot sauce/salsas, pickled products
· Baked goods
· Hand crafted home goods, pottery, candles, soaps, jewelry, crochet items, greeting cards
· Dog treats
