Polk County Animal Control is hosting a rabies clinic this weekend.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 9 at the Sunny View Fire Department (5865 Highway 9 North in Mill Spring), the rabies clinic will happen.
A rabies shot, which can be administered to dogs, cats and equine animals, will cost $10. A current rabies certificate for a three-year vaccine is needed.
Also administered will be DA2PP and FVRCP for $20.
To receive the shots dogs must be on a harness or slip leash, while cats must be in crates.
The Foothills Humane Society will also be on hand and will provide microchips for $10 and will give low-cost vouchers for spay or neuter procedures with proof of low income or government assistance. For more information on these services, call 828-863-4444.
