Have you ever wanted to join a book club, but thought, “What if it’s a book I don’t want to read”?
If so, Polk County Libraries has just the club for you.
This summer, the “Read What You Want Book Club” has three scheduled meetings and, like the group’s name suggests, there isn’t a required title each month.
Instead, participants are asked to read a book that fits within the monthly theme. You can then discuss your choice with the group at the meeting.
The group meets at 2 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at the Columbus Library. Light refreshments will be provided. Please note that this program is for adults.
Here are the themes:
June 13 – N.C. authors
July 11 – Graphic novels
August 8 – Award winners
