Season’s first Friends of Ag Breakfast set for Sept. 18

The Friends of Ag Breakfast kicks off its season at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, at the Green Creek Community Center.

This event is free and open to the public. Local farmers, growers, and other food producers provide fresh ingredients for a delicious complimentary country breakfast. To be sustainable, please bring your coffee mug, plate and flatware.

Lindsey Edwards, NCSU Extension Agent, Family & Consumer Sciences will be the guest speaker. Mrs. Edwards will share information about her program and the extension’s work within the community.

This historic breakfast has been held for the past 12 years featuring speakers from many local farms and other agricultural experts in their field. It is the place to meet your neighbors and connect with community support agencies that are here to help us all maintain our beautiful, rural agricultural county.

This year’s sponsors are Mountain Brook Vineyards and AgSouth Farm Credit.

The breakfast takes place at Green Creek Community Center (25 Shields Drive, Tryon, NC 28782)

The Friends of Agriculture Breakfast is held on the third Wednesday of every month from September through May.
