Winter farmers markets are winding down for this year, but there are still chances to pick up some local fruits and vegetables, handmade crafts, and homemade baked goods.

Our local farmers markets are a great spot to score some one-of-a-kind finds while supporting local businesses.

Here’s the dates for upcoming markets:

April 1 – Columbus

April 8 – Saluda

April 15 – Columbus

April 22 – Saluda

Winter farmers markets run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through April.

The Columbus Winter Market is held at Iron Key Brewing (135 Locust St. in Columbus), while the Saluda Winter Market is held at the Saluda Center (64 Greenville St. in Saluda).

Also, remember, that participants in North Carolina’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can doubled their money at the farmers markets. Read more about that here.
