The NC Foothills Farm Tour is back with a fantastic lineup for Saturday, June 25.

The event is open to everyone and will feature six locations throughout Polk and Rutherford counties.

The June farm tour is self-guided, so you can look into all of the options ahead of time and decide where you want to visit based on your interests. On your visit producers will share their passion and knowledge for as long as you’d like.

Farms on the tour include, Looking Glass Creamery, Buttercup Cottage, and San Felipe Farm in Polk County, and Ruff’ton Roots Community Garden, Seven Oaks Farm, and Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center in Rutherford County.

Tickets are sold per vehicle on Eventbrite, so you only need one for your whole car. More information and the link to tickets can be found on the tour’s website.

NC Foothills Farm Tour is also looking for volunteers to help out with the farm tour on the day of the event. Volunteers will be asked to work for a half-day, and then receive a free ticket to participate in the tour for the other half of the day. Do you want to go on a farm tour, but don’t think you’ll be able to make the June 25th date? Stay tuned for more information about an event on October 15, which will be structured as a small group tour with in-depth looks at other farms in Polk and Rutherford counties. The October tour will be more structured and scheduled ahead of time, rather than the style of choosing your own adventure that the June event will feature.
