April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time that recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Prevention services and supports developed by this collaboration can help to protect children and strengthen families.

In anticipation of Child Abuse Awareness Month, Polk County Health and Human Services is partnering with Vaya and WithALL to offer several training opportunities. 

One training looks at the stigma that so often is a barrier to seeking health and wellness. There will be two training sessions on Friday, April 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Each training will take place at WithAll (76 North Peak Street in Columbus).
