Tryon-based painter to lead Paint in the Park event

Tryon-based artist Becky Rickenbaker will host two sessions of Polk County Parks, Recreation, and Maintenance’s Paint in the Park series.

The first session, which is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, is an adult session. The second event, scheduled for 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, is a kid’s session (8 years old and older).

Both events will take place at the Recreation Complex in Mills Spring.

The cost is $40 per person with all materials being provided. To register, email to trails@polknc.org.

Rickenbaker, who is an accomplished painter who mostly uses acrylic paints, has a studio and gallery at 94 Pacolet Street in Tryon. Check out her website here.
