Polk County Economic Development will soon reach out to local businesses and non-profit organizations to get an understanding of how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected these businesses and non-profits.
A postcard will be mailed next week that gives local businesses and non-profit organizations access to a 12-question online survey. The information from the survey will be used to possibly develop a local assistance program, which may include technical help or even direct funding for overdue bills.
“The purpose is to get a pulse of the impact of COVID on businesses and non-profits,” said Polk County Economic Development’s Cathy Ruth. “American Rescue Plan funding has been provided for the county and we are trying to determine if there is a need, what their needs are, for businesses and non-profits, and if they would be willing to apply.”
The survey will need to be completed by October 29, 2021. If you’re a business owner or work with a local non-profit organization and don’t receive the postcard by October 1, please contact email@example.com.
