A group of volunteers converged met on Saturday, April 20, to pick up litter at the park and remove trash and debris from the Pacolet River during the First Pacolet River and Harmon Field Clean Up. 

The event was organized and sponsored by Quible & Associates, P.C. with the assistance of Brad Gordon, Harmon Field Superintendent. 

Items removed from the park and river included a garden hose, pool ladder, metal water tank, treated lumber and metal debris. 

Prizes were given out for Most Trash, Most Interesting Piece of Trash and Longest Piece of Trash. 

“We would like to express our appreciation to everyone who took part in today’s trash cleanup event at Harmon Field along the Pacolet River,” Gordon said. “We are grateful for Warren Eadus and Quible & Associates PC for their support and leadership in organizing this event. As the park superintendent, it was inspiring to see the community involvement. Our collective efforts can make a substantial impact. We acknowledge the contribution of our community in enhancing our park, making it at place for all to enjoy.”

Harmon Field is a beautiful park and wonderful resource for all of Polk County residents to enjoy.
