Water agreement extended for additional 20 years

An amendment to an agreement between the Polk County Water System, the Broad River Water Authority, and the Inman-Campobello Water District has been approved to secure management of the local rural water system for the next 20 years.

The agreement, which was approved by the Polk County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 7, extends a contract that was first signed in 2008 and secures water for our local community. The agreement also gives local water users on the Polk County Water System the ability to appeal issues to a local board.

Since 2008 the Inman-Campobello Water District has provided all operations, maintenance, repair, billing, collections, customer engineering, and customer service functions for customers within the Polk County Water System.
