The Polk County Health and Human Services office announced in October that it had well disinfection kits available to residents who had wells that flooded during Hurricane Helene.

Now, those kits are being offered to anyone in the community.

These kits would benefit anyone that did not have their well tested after the storm and want to ensure that their well is safe from bacteria.  It consists of a bucket, bleach, funnel, hose, chlorine test strips and protective personal equipment.
